BHS Animal Fun Day 26th February 2012

Don’t you wish we had a dog park in Nassau? Bring your dogs and your kids to a great fun filled day! You can enter your dog in fun classes or just hang and watch. There will be a Carnival Section for the kids, a wide array of food, and much more to come!

Please come to the Botanical Gardens on Sunday, February 26th from noon to 6 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon of events, games, and food. Volunteers are also needed for this day. Please contact us if you are able to volunteer for this event.

Raffle ticket sales have begun

Tickets this year are $20.00 for one or $100.00 for a book of six. You can purchase your tickets at the Shelter, from BHS members and Board members. We are still looking for volunteers for table sales in front of ScotiaBank Bay Street through February. Prizes include a return ticket for two to London, a Mediterranean cruise for two, roundtrip to Fort Lauderdale for two, Caribbean Cruise for two, gift certificates for Super Value and a designer necklace.

Raffle tickets will be drawn on The Disco Night at the Sheraton Cable Beach, an evening filled with music from the 60s and 70s. This will be held Saturday, March 31st. Please be sure to join us there to see if you are a winner!

Years message from the Executive Director

With the New Year fast
approaching we wish to thank all of our Sponsors, Donors and Volunteers from near
and far who have contributed in so many ways helping us to keep the doors and
services open to the general public. It is only because of your support that we
are able to continue offering Rescue services, Ambulatory services, Fostering, Re-homing,
Education, Free Spay/Neuter Clinics, Low cost Veterinary care and lobbying for
the rights animals.

Our Executive Team and Staff
are firmly committed to ensuring that The Bahamas Humane Society remains
steadfast in it’s goal of eliminating animal cruelty and encouraging
responsible animal ownership.

We are asking for your
continued support so that next year we can reach more Family Islands that need our help, more dogs can have open spaces
and less chains and we reduce the number of unwanted animals in The Bahamas.

The Bahamas Humane Society would like to encourage you to make a gift donation, this would help keep the animals in the adoption kennels happy and excited, making their stay with us over the Christmas Holiday one to be enjoyed.
